ADESA Repossessions

Just a shot in the dark here, I got my car repossessed a while back and it had my Nintendo DS and a few games in it. It was a long while before I could get a chance to make it to Nisku to pick the items up, and recently found out they only keep the items for 3 months.
Long and the short is, any idea what happens to these items? Are they also auctioned off? It was a birthday gift from the wife and I wish I still had it. Know its my fault though :(.
