Only in Edmonton have I seen this trend of people clogging up the front of the bus. Especially when disabled folks are on and have mobility aids, people who crowd the front of the bus are just making it 10x harder to board or exit. Back home on the TTC drivers strictly enforce that people move to the back of the bus. They won’t move the bus until crowds have moved. Even when there’s loads of standing room toward the back, a cluster of 10 people will clog up the front of the bus. It’s so inconsiderate and unsafe for the driver.
And people who wear backpacks; why for the love of humanity do you not take your bags off. The number if times I’ve been clocked in the head by a stray backpack is ridiculous. This is basic transit etiquette. You’re not the only person on that bus. Is it that hard to be considerate?
