Hey everyone,
I’ve been unemployed for about a year. I thought I’d be working now, but this isn’t a post about the job market.
I went in to do my taxes last week at HR Block because I was desperate for an instant return to pay off some bills. I also needed a tax professional because I didn’t have my T4.
They’ve moved to prepaid cards (I’m guessing they signed a deal with a card issuer) and even though it was prepaid, I was denied.
So, two questions:
Are there any other places to file taxes and receive an instant return.
If not, is there anywhere I can have them done for free and wait for a direct deposit return.
Thanks for taking the time!
Update: went to HR Block and did my return there. Cost $85, but got it done and hopefully the return processes in the next 10 days.
