Second update: I do want to mention that I reached out to Aizle before making this post to explain the situation, and they graciously revised my reservation to one person, but I didn’t receive the email until after I made this post and identified a dinner pal. I felt bad to have wasted anyone’s time, so I reached back out to Aizle and they revised my reservation back to two people. So now they’re serving two people, I’m making a new friend, and a random Redditor is getting a half off meal! We all win, I think. 🤞

Final update: Well, that was fantastic. Amazing food and amazing company! 10/10, would do again, if only for the incredible new friend I made tonight. Thank you, Edinburgh, and see you again soon!

I know this is a long shot but here goes.

I’m in town visiting (lived here a few years ago) and made dinner plans with someone for tonight’s reservation at Aizle and of course that person comes down with a cold this morning (and after the cancelation period). I’m going regardless, but their policy says I’m liable for the canceled party’s fee (£105, isn’t that great?)

I know it’s a long shot, but is anyone interested in a nice PLATONIC dinner with a nice platonic person? Lol. I’ll pay half of your dinner service (sans your booze), even, so just bring yourself, good chat, and £50. Just hate throwing away a hundred pounds on nothing because I’m stood up.
