I'm not sure why every single Edgic-er is being so quick to write off Tori completely. I said this already in another person's post, but considering how many mistakes she made and how she made herself a target immediately I felt like her edit wasn't nearly as bad as what it should have been. Like obviously they had to throw in some negativity, but all of it was necessary to the story of the episode since she was a target and it was because of mistakes she made.

However, she was given a long confessional about exactly her strategy on how to win, and it was shown to have been working at least during that segment as she was connecting with the other younger people. There was no confessional from Zach or Swati saying how they distrusted her or were keeping an eye on her, even though Zach did distrust her when she went to talk to Drea later so there probably could've been a confessional they could've used if they wanted to give her an Angelina-esque edit like everyone thinks she's getting.

And then even when she makes mistakes like going to look for an idol, we get to hear her thought process of "I know this is a bad move that people make, but I created this alibi and I'll look for an idol for a bit while I'm looking" and she gets back to camp and is shown to be instantly perceptive of the shift in the mood in camp - SHE was being credited to have noticed this instead of anyone else. The n when she finds out her read is right and her name was being thrown out, she got the chance to say "I know I made a mistake, but I don't think I should be voted out because of it and I'm gonna fight to stay in", and throughout the rest of the episode she's constantly given opportunities to say to the audience that she shouldn't be voted out because of this. In fact we barely get any confessionals from anyone else about how much of an 'idiot' Tori is for doing this (If any? All I remember is them saying they were suspicious she was gone for long but there weren't any confessionals used that really critiqued her game, although I may be misremembering).

Compared to someone like JD last season, who immediately made a lot of mistakes like Tori but constantly had people like Ricard point out how he was lying and undermine JD's game in confessionals, Tori actually got away with a pretty poor episode quite well honestly.

Maybe I'm biased because I watched her play in Sequester and I'm rooting for her because of it, but I think people putting her all the way at the bottom or even at the bottom of their Edgic contender list are overlooking what was actually a very good edit given the episode she had, and a premiere where she was really visible too.
