What makes _______ premerge negativity any different from _______?
Post Body

Carsonā€™s; Yam Yamā€™s?

A lot of people in the P.G. (Post Gabler) edgic community seem to accept nowadays that premerge negativity is just a part of new era winner edits.

A few people were down on Yam Yam after episode 4, but the most common response people not down on him gave was that premerge negativity was just a thing for winners now so it was still possible.

That being said, it seems like a lot of people refuse to give Carson that same leeway. Any time anyone brings up Carson as a legitimate contender based on his edit a lot of people are quick to dismiss him as ā€œhe was shown being wrong about Helen in episode 2,ā€ or ā€œthe show dunked on him for reading body language books, heā€™s not winning.ā€

Carson has a really strong edit so far imo and this last episode in particular felt really good for him but people are still hung up on him being shown as in the wrong a month and a half ago. Iā€™m just curious what makes Carsonā€™s negativity different to a lot of people. Is it just that Yam Yam got a mat chat and Carson didnā€™t? Or is there actual differences in how their negativity was presented to you? Iā€™m still new-ish to Edgic and Iā€™m genuinely curious.
