Has anyone called EDD and got an answer of when all these accounts will be reopen again?? I been calling everyday since Monday also of my card being frozen, I couldn’t pay rent or any of my bills. I called EDD and BofA and they just point the finger at each other and even had an EDD representative tell me that Bank of America no longer wants to do business with JUST ME for some reason and now I will be receiving checks Instead of using my card. I got so frustrated I called and waited an hour to I speak to the supervisor of Bank Of America and was nice enough to explain everything that’s going on and sent me this link, all I wanted was answers and an estimate of how long this will be going on with our accounts being frozen. She suggested to read and see this article to make it clear it’s not BofA . I called EDD today since it’s the 4th and that’s when they said to call, I called and this lady answers with the most rudest tone like she knew why I’m calling. She didn’t ask for my social, my name, address or anything she just asked what did I need today I was explaining the situation kindly and respectfully and she cut me off and just told me to wait till I get a call from them after 5 to 7 BUSINESS DAYS of getting my card frozen and they will ask for what ever they need to reopen my account. She then said to speed up the process I can always go to my EDD online portal and upload ID documents up which I checked and didn’t even gave me the option to. At this point I am just overwhelmed and overly stressed and Stuck . Something needs to be done I don’t understand how this was necessary, I understand if they froze our claims or benefits for a bit but why freeze our accounts that already have money that belongs to us ????
