My nose scrunches when I hear a player say "oh Eberron, that's Steam Punk, Elizabethan style setting". I can easily explain the high magic fantasy setting but I want to know how you portray Eberrons fashion and Archetecture.
This is an example of mine. Give me your elevator pitch for a region or culture. Tell me how your able to tell your players the general vibe without a lore dump. I use the word inspired to prevent confusion with accurate historical representation.
Aundair: I am inspired by the 16th century French culture, food, long brim hats, capes, high boots.
Karnath: I am inspired by the Germanic castles, Gothic churches, tunics, belts and cloaks.
