I have always loved the colourful races and their story's that live in Eberron. The existing lore, really lend themselves to world building. I have always been stuck with changlings. The orcs have their rich tribes in the shadowmarches, the shifters their history surviving the Purge, the warforged and the war, their new path to discover their place in the world. And they have additional further diversity. It's hard to see Changlings place or feel their presence in Eberron or its recent history.
I know Changeling just occupy and emulate a culture. I know they have individual philosophical belief's - passers, becomes, seekers. But I want for my world a something more tangible...I know that isn't a Changeling trait. Can anyone pitch me Changling culture, motivations, rituals/traditions, Priorities, Tenents. If individualism is not important, what's the prevailing traits, they aren't like bugs - the hive, over the individual... what's a good analogue. Do you have an interesting take on Changling culture.
My current idea for a specific Changeling culture is a Cladestine Cell System. Maybe they inhabit all roles of society, they record their own history of eberron, maybe they don't want to influence events but watch and record nexus events. What's your ideas? Happy for feedback. .
