Hi all!
In just a few weeks, I'm going to be starting my first ever campaign, using Eberron as the setting. Because it's Eberron, I don't have a campaign module to follow, and I don't really want one. But I also don't want to make the mistake of thinking I can design fun adventures with little to no experience and end up making something that bombs and my players get bored/confused about. As such, my plan is to take shorter modules and adventures and use those as my guideposts for different story arcs the players enter, and tweak/reflavor them for the campaign themes and running plot threads.
I've got some ideas for some later stuff I want to run, but I'm not sure what to start with. So I am looking for any recommendations for some good lvl 1-3 modules and adventures I can work with to create a strong start to my campaign.
Again, because I plan on tweaking it heavily anyway, It does not have to be Eberron-based, and it does not have to even be 5e (I'm less worried about the mechanical bits, more concerned about proper pacing/story beats).
What are some fun ones you've used to start a campaign? I've used DM's guild for sources in the past and am familiar with it, but third-party stuff not on DMs guild is absolutely in play here. Bonus points for stuff that has some of the stronger Noir and Pulp influences that Eberron leans heavily into.
I've looked into some of the stuff published for Eberron by the D&DAL, but not sure how well it translates to non-AL campaigns.
My group has already run LMoP, and just got finished running SKT under another DM.
Thanks in advance for the help!
