Hi all! Got some great advice a few weeks ago so I'm back for more.
Running a pirate-based game in the Lhaazar Principalities, and I had the idea of a "Bermuda Triangle"-esque area created by a Thelanis Manifest Zone. Sometimes, ships slip through into Thelanis - many never return, while those that do might take weeks, years, or far longer to do so.
I figure at very low levels (the party is currently 2nd level), this could be great for a "ghost ship" being discovered, possibly with some creatures from Thelanis on board. Later on, it could be interesting as a way to get to Thelanis for some type of objective, or as a desperate hiding spot.
Any elements you'd had on to such an idea, or change around? I'd certainly be willing to listen on other planes (Lamannia would also make a lot of sense), but my first instinct on it was Thelanis. I think one thing I'll definitely be changing is that Thelanis time works a bit more like the core D&D Feywild (it's going to flow differently, but it's not PREDICTABLY different, unlike the Eberron default of seven times faster - I like it being seven times faster from a mythological/symbolic standpoint, but I've got a few story ideas that work better with it being less definite).
