What’s the motivation for someone bidding on and winning an auction with no intention to pay?
Post Body

I’m really wracking my brain here, but aside from life getting in the way and preventing you from making a payment (like a random emergency room visit or a death or something) I can’t think of anything.

But for those cases it would only happen once in a blue moon, but this has happened to me several times lately and it’s extremely frustrating.

A few months ago one of my auctions ended and the buyer never paid or communicated, wasting my time for weeks waiting for the payment, then offering it to the next highest bidder (no one responded), and then eventually relishing it, where the item of course sold for less than the first time.

And now I’m waiting on two guys to pay who also have not responded at all, and in one of their feedback histories, they’ve done this before!!! I can’t see how anyone would do this multiple times.

So I’m just trying to understand why this happens besides freak life events. Is there some sort of angle here that I’m missing?
