Trying to help the other half
Post Body

I'm starting to struggle... my other half has had bulimia for almost 14 years and never had any support in their previous relationships. We have been together 4 years. They have struggled with anxiety and alcohol is a large factor in all of it. I try to be open and supportive (i go for understanding... I never condone or promote binging or purging, we are eating healthy and exercising lots) however it has got to the point where they ask me to go to bed and spend an hour plus binging and purging most nights. The health system in the UK isn't great for supporting them and I can't be there all the time to help due to work. It's draining me and I don't know how else I can help... they acknowledge an issue but nothing changes despite some serious health scares and complications in the last 2 years. What support do people really value and how else can I help?
