I just wanted to share my favorite snack which is balanced in protein, fat, and micronutrients.
Cottage cheese. Get over the texture if you must, you're not 5. I get the largest sized tub from the grocery store. To this I add about a tbsp of onion powder, garlic powder, dried parsley, black pepper and salt. Half tbsp of chili powder, and sriracha to taste. Stir well and wallah, high protein veggie dip. I get the little pepper packages that are like baby bell peppers and use them to scoop it up. Also carrot and celery sticks are good options. Bonus points if you add small bits of diced veggies (onions), and a package of chopped, drained (squeeze the living hell out of it) spinach. If I go the spinach route, sometimes I'll throw the cottage cheese in the food processor first for a more creamy consistency.
Ladies osteoporosis is no laughing matter, please make sure you get adequate amounts of calcium as found in cottage cheese.
