Hello all!

It's become increasingly clear over the past month or so that this subreddit has become more of a liability to our movement than anything. Any useful information about organizing within the movement posted by the international team is immediately drowned out by the vast amount of unnecessary and unrelated content that gets posted here. Because of this, we are now working to reform the subreddit to encourage Earth Strike's growth.

Here will be the bulk of the changes:

1. We will be introducing some general rules concerning conduct, these will largely be the same as on our discord (ie. no bigotry or nazi shit), and will also involve the kind of content which can be posted here

2. We will be more closely monitoring what kinds of posts we allow. Most posts should now be: updates on organizations deciding to support us, news articles/press about the movement, new Earth Strike media like posters, pamphlets, and fliers, information on how to start or join a chapter/protest in your area, questions from members, and general discussion about earth strike, etc. etc. I have said before that this is NOT a general environmentalist subreddit, and posts which are continuously cross-posted from other general environmentalist subreddits will not be tolerated. We are here specifically to help get members organized within the movement.

3. We will begin the process of setting up a wiki which will include our rules, and a general FAQ on how to get involved.

We have also had some suggestions about:

• Weekly threads with updates from the National Campaigns

• Weekly threads for news articles concerning the environment and climate change (these make up a majority of the clutter)

In the coming days, many of your posts will be deleted, so if you have anything you would like to save please do so now while we work on implementing these changes.
