Do you guys say turn, cut, or shut

When you tell someone to cut the light off, do you say…

b.) cut the light off
c.) shut the light off

I personally say “cut the light off” but some of my friends say they’ve never heard someone say that before. Am I weird? 😭😂

cut the lights feels over dramatic to me. i say turn off the lights. my mom says close the lights and she's from hawaii

my mom tried to defend it as "its more accurate because you close the circuit" and when i learned about electricity i was like "...you have to open the circuit to turn the light off mom"
