OK - I'm saying this now because in a few hours people might discredit it by saying "well you're only saying this because you won" - but this season had the closest league in history and until I remembered about the Europa Cup I thought we were in for a climactic final week.

The point of the league for me is it's about consistency - you need 7 weeks of good performances to win it. We've got 3 teams at the top on equal points which is very exciting, however none of it matters because now we need to play a knock-out tournament in a different game mode to decide who wins it.

I understand why the commissioners are doing it - to make people care about the Europa Cup - but if devaluing the league is what it takes to make people show up for the Europa Cup then I'm not sure it's worth it.

Anyway, I'm just rambling but I wanted to speak up now that I think the Europa Cup adding points has ruined what would otherwise be the most exciting finish to the regular season of ELTP ever.
