What would happen if I keep paying the hardship amount (10% of the full monthly payment) after it expires?

Post Body

Not sure if someone already asked this question. I think after 2 months, the loan will be deemed delinquent and sent to treasury, right? Or maybe I'm wrong?

By the way, I already went through 4 rounds of 10% payment hardship. The last round was supposed to be 50% but due to computer glitch, I was able to get 10%. That was it. Now the portal shows that a full payment is required...

Please advise. Thanks.

As far as I know and can see in the portal, there is no way to enter less than the amount due.

One could mail their payment in at a lesser amount but I'm pretty sure you would be considered in default and at some point the SBA would take action against you.

If you can not pay, look into bankruptcy.

Bankruptcy is far from the end of the world and can give you a fresh start.
