I have a EIDL Covid loan for 130,000 and recently I received a email from “nick” at “business loans America” offering to help lower my payment to 10% of what I am currently paying. He was referring to the hardship accommodation plan. Basically this company would work on my behalf to help me get this done. They charge $700 to do this and that is contingent on them getting the payment lowered.
Well after some research it looks as though this is something I can do myself without paying them to do it. Is this correct?
Sorry if this is a stupid or already covered question. I am not very good when it comes to all this. But I am learning. Also if I took a hardship plan. Does this affect the loan or affect me being able to borrow more down the line?
Scam.
I would be worried how they know you have a EIDL loan. Sounds like a data breach or someone sold your info to a third party.
