Hi r/edm. We wanted to responsd to some recent feedback about self promo and make the rule very clear.

First off, self promo is ONLY allowed on the weekends. Do NOT post self promo during the week, this will be removed on the first offence, but additional breaches of the rule will result in a ban. This is not negotiable so don't bother blowing up mod mail over this. You are expected to read the rules prior to posting.

We are also making a slight tweak to the rule to keep it in line with its original intent. Feedback posts and beginner quality self promo posts are NOT allowed on this sub and will be removed even on the weekends. /r/edmproduction is the proper location for those types of posts, not here.

Finally, we are considering a sticky post for the weekends for self promo posts (i.e. all self promo posts would need to be posted within the sticky). If we go ahead with this route, expect to see a further announcement communicating that change to our policy moving forward.
