/r/EDM Top 100 DJs 2018

I assume a lot have been waiting for this already and we are pretty late for this. I orginally wanted to start this on the first but I couldn't make it in time. This is going to happen this weekend and the vote will close on the 20th so we can announce the same day as DJ Mag does, just a couple hours early I assume.

This will be hosted on an independent website I made for this with the code being open source on my GitHub (I will talk about this a bit more when we officially announce the vote) and it uses your reddit account to verify you and make double-voting harder.

The voting system will have weighting, so your top vote gets 5 votes, and then goes down 4-3-2-1 for the remaining 4. I will try and make some nice stats out of this too (without user connection, obviously). If you have any suggestions or want some changes, now is your time to do so as it is not too late yet. I will change the system if the suggestion gets traction.

Free Talk thread

/u/KingNickyThe1st did this a few times, and now we are going to make it a regular thing. Every Sunday there will be a free talk thread where you can speak new music, discuss with others or post pictures from your shows that you have been at.

"I saw X yesterday and made this picture" threads

We will be removing those from now on and move them into the Free Talk thread, as we have gotten multiple complaints from subscribers that the pictures are usually really low quality and don't really add much to the subreddit. This might change again in the future if the majority in here does not want this.
