Post Body

Religion has always been against contemporary dance music. It’s been called “the music of the devil” or “sinful music”. House music was made by gay people of color, who went to clubs to listen to the music, and to escape the homophobic Christian society on the outside.

As one of the founding Dj’s for house music, Frankie Knuckles said “a DJ is a secular type of priest”

But now, because house music has become “trendy”, ALL OF A SUDDEN, these religious people think they can USE HOUSE MUSIC to spread their religious propaganda. Miss me with that fucking bullshit. we are an accepting culture, but we shouldn’t allow the purpose of the music to be about “pRaIsiNG gOD”, rather than to make other people happy, and to use music as an escape. It’s always been about the music, not putting an invisible being above everyone else.

Nothing against religious people in general, we’re happy you’re here and that you like the same music we do. just don’t try to spread your beliefs through music that has historically been one of the most secular forms of music.

I hate to come off this harsh but I strongly believe in what I said. Let me know what you think
