Cross-section between EDM and Metalcore

I was driving home the other day and listening to the BPM SiriusXM station and it occurred to me that I caught myself making the same stank face at the beat drops as I do during metalcore breakdowns. This led me to wonder if there is a less than zero correlation between metalcore fans and EDM fans. It’s the same musical concept, just a different elements.
So my question to the r/Metalcore subreddit is this: how many of you listen to EDM/Dubstep/ or adjacent genres?
