So with the release of Strixhaven, there was an influx of new cards with alternate arts, the Japanese/collector exclusive arts. This art aesthetic is completely my style, so of course I bought a JPN box and pulled quite a few cards I intend to use in my decks moving forward. I am also planning on purchasing the alternate art Swords to Plowshares and Mana Tithe for my Heliod deck.
My main concern moving forward is while all these cards look great, being in a foreign language for American stores and having alternate art leads to a difficult issue of understanding. Cards like Swords to Plowshares are so simple that as long as you recognize the art. But cards like [[Agonizing Remorse]] or [[Mizzix's Mastery]] are more complex and might not be immediately well known and identifiable to others without explanation.
So beyond knowing your own cards, what suggestion do you have for playing these cards without creating a language barrier that can slow down the game unnecessarily?
