Everyone who screams for diversity in commander while running the same cards as everyone else is doing it wrong.
If you want a card banned while still playing you're wrong.
Commanders like chulane, korvold, atraxa, and narset are great onboard ramps for people to join our format. While these commanders are inherently stronger than most legends the people who play them can mature as they play games in the playgroup. If there are problems with specific decks start talking to players, lending them decks and giving them cards. Sit down online and laugh about games and listen to why they love their busted decks. You'll grow in empathy/tolerance.
As commander grows it'll be harder to control what everyone does. Instead, work to build localalized communities and work and spend effort to understand everyone else. Listen you dingus, don't just wait for your turn to talk.
Commander is at its best when we give a damn about people more than cards. I love y'all I love playing with y'all. I love playing with strangers, but when people spend more time thinking about how the rules committee or cag is full of idiots (hint: it's not) than enjoying the game I don't want to play with you. Fun fact fun takes effort and requires you to make choices, it doesn't just naturally fall into place when the format stars align and will it so.
Tl;dr
Communicate with players more than you do. Give a damn about people and put effort in when you want to cultivate a community. It doesn't happen without it. Complaining about cards will never be as effective as that.
PS. I hate cyclonic rift. It should be banned. However, one of my favorite people to play with has it in literally all of their blue decks.
