Teshar, Ancestors Apostle. Does it need to be combo?

Hey fellow commander players,

You may have read something I posted recently about starting up a commander cube podcast/YouTube channel.

I figured it would be in my best interest to look into other topics relating to EDH as a whole versus only focusing on commander cube.

One topic (or series?) I came up with is taking a look at typical builds of commanders, and creating new and fun strategies around them without using infinite combos.

Teshar is a good place to start because as we all know Mono White is the weakest link in our format due to its extreme and conditional ways of obtaining card advantage and ramp.

Teshar provides us with the card advantage the color lacks but in a specific strategy using artifacts to reanimate weenies and loop from the graveyard.

This strategy is a lot of fun as I’m a Durdling player naturally. But what I don’t love about the typical decks I see are that they are built to be competitive using infinite combos to win their games.

Now, I’m not saying infinite combos aren’t a viable way to win, however it’s just not how I as a player like to win and why I’ve constructed a commander cube in the first place (to give each player an equal playground of balanced and playable cards).

TLDR: What are some fun ways to win with Teshar without going infinite in your opinion? My first thought was a soul sisters build using artifact creatures as a way to loop a bunch of life and then use that life in different ways.

Let me know!
