Hey all so I have a group of friends then go to almost every fnm about 6 of us total and ever since the beginning about a year ago now since we all started going. There has been one player that doesnā€™t have the same budget the rest of us do and while he is perfectly capable of comprehending power level he often will under rate his decks and say ā€œthis shouldnā€™t winā€ after having spent about 100 or more than any of us can on deck building. When we confront him about it he gives us the ā€œIā€™m not going to build a bad deck on purposeā€. Which isnā€™t what we are asking at all. So my question here is, without just spending more, how does one get through to a person like this that lowering power level isnā€™t the same as building a bad deck. I mean itā€™s totally fine to have your higher power decks if you want but at least build a deck on power with the people your playing. Idk maybe Iā€™m being unreasonable any advice?
