So on my hunt last night, I was looking for (specifically) artifact creatures with ETB effects. Found some. Created the deck and looked over it ("Blinking Breya", deck list was posted here yesterday evening), and noticed that cards like [[Deadeye Navigator]], [[Eldrazi Displacer]] ect cant be recurred, unless I use something like [[Whip of Erebos]] (Whip synergizes by being an artifact FYI). I them started thinking of effects like [[Mistmeadow Witch]], which exiles until EOT. While not great for getting effects right away like with Deadeye and Displacer, it DOES protect cards like these by removing them till EOT, such as targeted removal, board wipes ect. Looking into it more, I wondered if there was artifact versions to do this. This prompted the short search and new idea:
Cards like [[Voyager Staff]] (artifact version of Mistmeadow Witch, though one time use), exile a creature till EOT. As well, being an artifact, means I can use [[Sharuum the Hegemon]], [[Academy Ruins]] ect to recur it. Great! Continuing looking, I found cards like [[Helvault]], [[Cold Storage]], [[Synod Sanctum]] and (while 35$ Canadian to get), [[Tawnos's Coffin]] (would LOVE to get this, but again, 35$ -_-)
This prompted me to consider this question: compared to something like [[Brago, King Eternal]] (must deal combat damage to use), [[Felidar Guardian]], Mistmeadow Witch, [[Ghostly Flicker]], [[Momentary Blink]] ect, would these artifact based effects be strong enough to be used in place of "flicker" effects, even though they do not immediately return them to the field (and provided you have artifact recursion for them, like [[Goblin Welder]], [[Trading Post]], [[Sanctum Gargoyle]] ect)?
