Need some advice beating a dimir combo deck

Post Body

So a guy in our league plays dimir combo, either [[talion, the kindly lord]] or [[nymris, oona’s trickster]]. He plays a control style, lots of counterspells to hold the board till he draws into one of his many combos. Either thoracle or hullbreaker bounce infinite mana and kills everyone with bowmaster.

I need some advice on how to go about beating it. I have just about any card or strategy you can come up with. But it boils down to either playing [[jodah, the unifier]] backed up with lots of layers of protection like [[sigarda, font of blessings]] and [[shalai, voice of plenty]], or i can race him with [[jhoira, wearherlight captain]], or a [[dina, soul steeper]] primal surge deck. Or i can just try to smash with [[ruric thar]]. I can also do prison/lockdown decks with say [[defense grid]]

The best cards I can think of are [[angel’s grace]] and other split second cards. But id love to hear any and all advice/suggestions you might have or come up with.

The other issues is that I tend to hamper myself, i hate playing combos. And despite the argument of his deck being a control/combo, and having the highest win % in the league, i cant get the table to team up to take him out. So it comes down to 3 people goldfishing while he just waits the game out
