Built around ideally as something that just passes the turn, responds when necessary, and sneakily tries to get out a value engine in play. There's a couple of infinite combos there, but it's mostly there as an afterthought to check for Removal/Interaction, I mean come on they're 3~4 Card Combos (Mostly payoffs that looks for spells cast outside the hand being triggered by Fury Storm or Dualcaster Mage).
There's also some really stupidly heinous shit like [[Worldfire]] with the intention of floating mana to cast Foretold cards (Or casting it off a lucky Mind's Desire)
Mostly looking for cuts, suggestions on how much mana rocks I should be using (14 right now, not counting other ways of ramping), mainly the excess of Mana Rocks there is the quicker for Edgin to be online and to have a much better more explosive turn later on. I also kind of feel like I'm running too much single use card draws, Impulse Draw based card engines on Red feel so much worse when most of my cards are instants that are there to respond. I genuinely feel like Red now has the worse Card Draw in EDH lol.
You also might noticed I didn't put in a lot of enablers/engines on Blue here, mostly because it's somewhat of an overlap with my [[Taigam Ojutai Master]] Deck, so I decided to not just have them here.
Some cuts and decisions here that might raise eyebrows
- [[Ral, Storm Conduit]], I don't imagine ever casting a naked Ral, and honestly also just feels like a giant redflag that you're planning to combo off. Same story with [[Birgi, God of Storytelling]]...
- [[Sage of the Beyond]], lol I'm never gonna cast this card, I'd rather cast the T-Rex. Edgin is an enabler but he's an enabler I have to pay for each time, and most of the cards he's enabling won't benefit from another 2-cost reduction.
- [[Wild Magic Sorcerer]], it was better before, but moving to a more reactive, response based deck made it so much worse.
- [[Jace's Archivist]], fuck Jace. All my homies do not like Jace.
- [[Agitator Ant]], my pods will just not acknowledge this ability at all. And at that point I just paid mana to goad myself so why?
- Almost no Boardwipes... I feel my meta supports it enough that I'm content just not having it, but I do see that I'm not creature heavy enough that I can support it. Probably something that I will look back and forth on.
- Some of my pet cards here are [[Life of the Party]], [[Descent into Avernus]], [[Etali, Primal Storm]], [[Baeloth]], [[Bothersome Quasit]], [[Flaming Tyrannosaurus]], [[Firkraag]] if you're wondering why they're still there (Same with Worldfire)
- I think the hardest cuts I had to make were [[Twelfth Doctor]], Demonstrate will almost never be worthwhile.
- Also didn't want to cut the dice rolling cards but ended up doing so anyway... IDK I'm not sure, if I see more of them I like I'll add them all to the deck for the flavor of it (Though you won't find me adding dungeons), but Foretell already makes things fiddly enough. Will definitely revisit this.
- [[Inspired Idea]], it's so goddamn stupid it might just work (Don't need to discard if I sent my hand to exile), but it also kind of just feels goddamn stupid.
- Lastly, [[Ian Malcolm, Chaotician]], somewhat functions as an alternate commander for this too, but albeit only reserved for the most degenerate of pods.
