I often hear this argument as to why a card should be banned or unbanned. "It would warp the format." Would it though? We have Underworld Breach which is a better yawgmoth's will. We have Ad Nauseam which is basically 5 mana I win the game. Is casual EDH warped around those cards? Absolutely not. Sylvan Primordial seems like exactly what I want to be able to do in EDH. 7 mana big dumb creature that accrues value but doesn't win the game.
What do you think about the "X warps the format" argument in general?
Edit: I think many here are missing the point of this post. I am not asking if Primordial should be banned or not. I'm asking how people feel about the "X card would warp the format" type of argument.
