Deck Statistics
- Current record over 3 weeks: 8 pod wins and 23 kills
- Most ever drained from one player in a single round: 38 life
There's my deck and it's been doing great at my local LGS for our league where we play points. So keep the points thing in mind. Surprisingly, people dont seem to have an issue with infinite combos, though you get negative points for doing so, or winning before turn 5. Here's a breakdown of some of the questionable inclusions?
- [[Ayara, first of locthwain]] While not a wild choice, my deck is now heavily leaning towards black over green so I wanted to try this. Plus with all the pest tokens and [[Endrik Sahr, Master Breeder]] she can really go off
- [[Nether Traitor]] and [[Bloodghast]] Our leagues points system has achievements for bringing creatures back from the GY, add in haste off the traitor and I can also attempt first blood. They also make good sacrificial fodder
- [[Paradise Plume]] Just testing this card. I thought about [[Wurm's Tooth]], [[Demon's Horn]], and even [[Dragon's Claw]] (We have a LOT of mono red decks and Krenko decks running around) But this allows me to pick a color and provides mana ramp.
- [[Evolutionary Leap]] Same for this card. Just testing it out to see how it handles. Sac tokens to get real cards
My concerns with the deck is that it's surprisingly mana intensive. You need LOTS of mana each turn to get your engines going. But any advice on what to add? What do you think is wasted? First card I should probably improve is [[Temple of Malice]]. Another is [[Mana Crypt]]. Im not really sure it's needed in this deck since the mana value is so low and I need colored mana more than anything.
