I think wing divers should be able to carry air raiders and rangers. Even if it costs them their weapon usage, speed, and extra energy. I appreciate the addition of more stairs in edf 5, but it's still very clunky actually getting to high places with those classes sometimes. It would make gameplay a bit more interesting and fun, especially if rangers/air raiders could fire while being carried, which would also allow a bit more range in turret placement on building walls. Just as well, one wing diver could potentially carry another out of trouble if one of them happens to run out of energy (energy penalties for carrying would need to be scaled so this doesn't allow for infinite flying).

As for fencers, if they can't be carried, fine. However, I think them being able to carry a single ally would be interesting as well. There could be steps and handles on the rear of the armor for one soldier to grasp. The boosters are placed poorly for this, so they would need to be repositioned. I'm unsure if they should also be able to shoot while riding, as I imagine a soldier needing to grasp the fencer's armor with both hands, but maybe they only need one (but then how do reloads work?) I'm also cool with the idea that not all fencer weapons are compatible with teammate carrying, so loadouts might be limited, or perhaps the handles and steps themselves will be a type of support equipment.

Any input? Am I mad?
