I'm a leathercrafter who sometimes sells here -- this is an all black minimalist wallet made from Japanese shell cordovan from the Shinki Hikaku tannery, paired with a braided polyester thread also from Japan. Handstitched by me, and edges finished with a clear protective wax.

The leather will get great character throughout the years, and shell cordovan wears incredibly well / buffs up after years of abuse.
