Looking back on the experiences that led me to the ED mindset, I realized I likely faced interpersonal fatphobia at my highest weight fluctuations. These were points when I was at the high end of a normal BMI, possibly slightly over at one point. I was perceived as βfatβ because of the way my weight distributes to my stomach first, as well as my face, arms and thighs. At borderline overweight I had a flat ass and a cups combined with zero muscle tone. My family would make comments about me being at risk for diabetes and friends and partners would constantly hint at and encourage weight loss, dieting, exercising etc. I recieved significantly less romantic attention too. if I had to categorize myself at this weight, I would say I was at the low end of midsized. Sorry if this makes no sense, I just wanna see if anyone shares a similar experience?
