Incoming PreK class has several kids who do not nap. Last year, my co-teacher did the second half of nap. She didn’t allow the non-nappers to have books, toys, or activities. (She has since retired.)
One of the kids coming into my class is used to having a “quiet time basket” with books, toys, and sensory activities. He literally screams if he doesn’t get the basket, so our director says to give it to him before he asks for it. The other non-napping kids are complaining about wanting baskets, too. So tell me your best ideas, please.
