Goddamnit what the fuck why did you give me a classroom, not train me, tell me I donât know what Iâm doing, then kick me out. BITCH I KNOW I ASKED FOR HELP. Man the turnover is as high as Mount Everest and now I know why. And Jesus Christ the director and assistant director may as well fuck they are so glued at the hip.
Edit: thank you so much for all the kind words everybody, you all have been very validating
Agreed!!! There was a student in my classroom whose family only spoke Chinese and he would scream all day, was behind on milestones, and was too upset to even nap. I learned some simple mandarin words and would assist him more with milestones and he responded positively! I did that for a few weeks and he was getting his naps and less fussy generally and was trying new things but my head teacher told me I was unfairly favoring a student and had to stop (despite the fact that we were fully staffed and this care wasnât interfering with care of the other students) and she worried he would never learn English if we âalways spoke mandarinâ (it was like 5 words!). When I told my director she basically said I need to listen to my head teacher, so I quit. Good for you for getting out!
