My class is really struggling with morning meeting (circle time). We have a high level of neuro diversity and all it takes is a few moments off track and the whole experience derails. My goal is to get through MM as efficiently as possible.
We have a child who struggles heavily with drop off. The best solution is that mom walks them to the school door and the child walks themselves to our room. We have discussed this, mom agrees, it works great on the days we follow this plan.
Mom decided to come in yesterday and read me the riot act in the middle of morning meeting. She had a complaint about muddy clothes. First of all: send me a message on the app. Secondly, now your child is howling and clinging to your leg. Thirdly, that is a problem for after care staff. Fourthly, my class is now in chaos.
I wish I could drive over to where she works, walk into a sales meeting and announce that I will be sure her kid puts on their boots. Ugh.
