I am a lead teacher in a 3K class and have found myself unsure of what to do here.
TW: Violence.
There is a student in my class who is extremely violent. He bites, he hits, he kicks, he throws toys, and has recent resorted to throwing furniture (such as throwing chairs at myself and other students). My classroom is 14/1 so I’m in this room alone, and anytime my attention is not FULLY on him or the class is not doing what he wants he resorts to extreme violent tantrums. He’s also discovered he would rather be in the office than in class, so now he gets violent very quickly in the mornings so he can go sit alone in the office, which he prefers, but obviously admin doesn’t want him there. His mother is unresponsive to messages and talks from above. He scratched me so hard I bled yesterday because he didn’t want to take a nap, and I’ve recently discovered we've already lost two employees due to his behavior as the two teachers who had this post before me quit because of him.
I need advice. I also realize this isn't his fault.
