Should I apply for EB-1A or EB-2 NIW?

Post Body

1- I have 1k citations, contributed to 14 journal publications (10 of which in 1st author); 4 Conference papers (2 as 1st author); 1 Book Chapter. I can say that some of the papers were in top 10% or 20% more cited in that year in that journal.

2- Reviewed more than 10 papers. I am also being an editor in a book (not sure if this counts as judging the work of others).

3- I think I can also say that one of my tools was used in EU science festival fair, an invited speaker for NATO series event, and showcase at tech conferences, but not sure if this counts as well.

I am considering EB-1A since I have a j1 visa for 2 more years, so I am worried about applying for NIW, the process taking more than 2 years and not being able to renew the j1-visa; or if i travel back home in this 2 to 3 years time not being unable to return to USA.

I am a post-doc in USA, working in AI applied to healthcare.

I will be really thankful if anyone has any advice.
