Why not release the DNA profile?

I'm not sure how it could hurt and I'm also not sure how it could help but you never know. Why not open it up? Who knows where technology will be in a handful of years and how easy it will be to test ourselves without needing to submit DNA to a website that may end up doing whatever with it. e.g. Maybe someone researching new techniques at a university can find something in it. Who knows.
