xHP Flash Stages Differences?

So I recently got xHP for my E90 and there are 3 different stages.
I know everyone on the forums say to just go Stage 3 and be done with it but what are the differences in the stages?
Like, I get Stage 3 is for those who want to go all out and have the most fun of their car but what if I will just want it to be a better daily driver?
What stages are suited for what kind of driving style?
