I've been contemplating on buying a mazda 3 but after seeing diy videos on e90s regarding maintenance im now torn between the two. the last car i had was a 07 civic and was nightmare to work on even a simple oil change felt like i needed to put the car on a lift just to access certain areas of the engine not to mention trying to repair the serpentine belt.. e90s on the other hand look incredibly simple from what ive seen on youtube videos and im just wondering if theyre as easy as they look to work on? i dont have the most extensive garage when it comes to tools and if some guy with a dinky little jack and a torque wrench is all it takes then id rather buy an e90 than a mazda 3 it would definitely save me money on fluid changes, simple 1 person repairs, etc. am i making the wrong choice?
