Service water in fuel
Post Body

I just bought my first duramax a few months ago. It’s a 24 2500 with less than 4000 miles on it. Today it gave me a “service water in fuel” warning. The last fill up was around 200 miles ago and when I opened the water drain on the bottom of the fuel filter, nothing came out. I had to tap on it to get anything to drip. What did drip out looked, felt and smelled like clean diesel. After I did that I started it up and the warning was gone but a few hours later I fire it up and it came back on. Is this something that I should take off work tomorrow for to get it to the dealer or is this a known problem? Couldn’t find much with my google/reddit search so any help is appreciated!
