Post Body

So I have been running a star wars inspired D&D campaign for several months now and a certain situation came up that I never really thought about. One of the players had a problem with an incident of them switching bodies with an NPC. A random die roll made them the target happened to make them the target of the spell, and they failed their wisdom save to fight off the affects. The artifact they were dealing with has been foreshadowed for a while so when interreacting with it they knew this was a possibility.

So here is the rub. Normally that's a tough luck situation but the player that was effected was trans transitioning to female. They seemed very distraught about this so I made it very easy to resolve and undo the effects the following session. (Messed with my plans a bit because I had a quest but felt the player wouldn't have fun if I didn't) Well a few sessions have gone by and they still seemed upset about it and has been bringing a bad attitude to the group. On top of that some of the other players have been telling me this player is now talking bad about me behind my back.

I don't mind apologizing but it would be somewhat empty since I felt I have done quite a bit to accommodate for this person and I don't think I have done anything malicious. If this player keeps acting this way Ill probably have to confront them about it.

If anyone has any advice I would love to hear it.

TLDR - Trans player upset by magic effect, it got undone quickly, now player has a bad attitude
