Beginner needing help choosing a class

So Ive only recently started playing, and have done about 2 campaigns so far so I'm still pretty new to it all lol.
Anyways I'm being added to a prexisting campaign that is based on the 1920s and I'm not sure what class I could put my tiefling in. I'm wanting this character to be sort of a con artist as my role is to kinda throw a wrench at the party. Not sure if this helps at all but I am being started at level 15. Any tips and suggestions are appreciated!
