So for about 4 months now I have been dming a 5e game for my sister, 2 of her friends, and 2 of her kids, for reference they are on the younger side (one is 14 the other is 11) and for the entire span of the campaign I have been struggling to keep him awake at the table and engaged in the game's role play. The party line up is a druid, a beast master ranger, a life cleric, a warlock, and a monk way of the long death (whom is the subject of this post.)
I feel as if he may not like his character too much, or maybe is a little jealous of the other players for having other cool stuff, like the warlock being able to communicate with his patron oberon, or the ranger and his spectral komoto dragon, the cleric with his order of paladins and clerics, and the druid who can wildshape and commune with nature.
Are there any ideas you dms of this subreddit can grace me with to make him feel more apart of the group other than just "that guy who punch thing"
