Is it legal to host a D&D event with a pre-made campaign (in this case Hoard of Dragon Queen) with no intentions of monetization?

Post Body
I don't know a lot about D&D but my friend wants to host an event in her college. It's just a fun event, with no intentions of charging anyone for it. What else does she need to keep in mind? For example, if she were to make a post on social media about it, what all are the points that need to be taken into consideration? Is she allowed to use the name "Dungeons and Dragons"? If so, does that need to be accompanied by the trademark symbol? Any help will be appreciated.
