My lawful good cleric did a jail break after being wrongfully imprisoned. Was that still within my alignment?

Post Body

Be me. Order cleric of tyr. A knight of holy judgment. On pilgrimage to cure my spell scar. When I was taken captive for a week and interrogated. I told them of my order and that I was the exact opposite of what they were looking for 'the acolytes of the apocalypse'. I then caught flare that someone was abducted and never seen again in this keep

By my understanding lawful good means Lawful - I stay within the laws of the land. And as an order cleric I really do that. As I was wrongfully imprisoned and am a bit of a religious nut I saw my captors as fanatical and must be brought before tyr's judgement

Good - I put others before me and strive to better everyone as a whole. This does not mean nice however

My dm is thinking I'm going against my teaching as I got out of prison (not lawful) and killed those I believe to be fanatical and without reason.

My feeling is that this is wrong. If it were proper law of the land maybe. But I was a pilgrim going to silverymoon with my order symbol and everything showing I was not a cultist

What y'all think?
