I have a group that I play with where one person is constantly sick, and we took like a 2 month break due to them being sick and not taking care of themselves. I've been considering leaving the group, but I don't feel like I can since it will for sure break up the group(I host the game at my place and im the person who knows all but this problem player from outside the game).
Just clarify this isn't a 2 month session of being sick straight. It's they get sick a day before the session, then get better 3 days later, but like on a constant cycle. It also doesn't help that that person decides not to sleep on the nights before session days and is always needing to leave early to get some rest.
I've requested that the dm talk to this player multiple times to see if we can come up with ways for them not to be part of certain sessions if they're sick or to migrate to online play. The dm constantly makes excuses for them and refuses to confront the issue as he thinks I'm unjustly/unfairly targeting them.
To put it into further perspective, we had to reschedule session 0 for a month for this player for the same reasons, and we've been playing this game for 9 months and played 9 times when sessions are bimonthly. So we missed out on all but one session of those 9 missing sessions because of this player.
Aita, for being upset about this, or should I just quit and potentially break up the group?
